An online platform for public transportation
In 2022, as part of the project implemented for the Marshall’s Office of Greater Poland Voivodeship, we designed and implemented a platform to aggregate data related to public transport in the territory of Greater Poland.
The basic component of the platform is an efficient mechanism for storing and searching data, which can process large amounts of data (big data). The platform is to aggregate data coming from all carriers offering transport services in Greater Poland.
Thanks to the data collected this way, we were able to create a search engine allowing users to find connections, which was subsequently made available to the residents of the voivodeship. The search engine allows them to find connections which were previously unavailable on global platforms like this.
In addition, as part of making open data available, an API was developed, which allows developers to use the data collected to build their own projects.
