A website for presenting digitised collections
To make its digitised collections available, the National Museum in Lublin requested that we implement a project consisting of creating an online portal for all subordinate institutions and facilities. The portal was created using WordPress. For this purpose, we developed several plug-ins, which allowed us to combine the simplicity of editing with the advanced functionality required by our client.
The heart and soul of the entire portal is a module responsible for storing and processing data collected therein. By applying the ElasticSearch mechanism, it is possible to search data characterised by a complex structure of information in a non-standard manner. This, in turn, allowed us to provide Internet users with an effective search engine for collections.
The portal has a responsive user interface and is fully supported by the WCAG 2.1 level AA standard.
