Multimedia solutions for the exhibition at the National Museum

The project implemented for the National Museum in Warsaw covered the production of interactive applications, a mobile audioguide, and animations and video mapping elements. All applications were designed so that they could be integrated into the background of the exhibition to the largest extent possible.

The mobile audioguide offers two visitor’s paths (short and long), while moving between subsequent stands is easy thanks to the map of the exhibition built into the application and its navigation function. Apart from the classic function performed by the audioguide, the application was extended to include numerous multimedia content items (photographs, films and animations) and a browser of 3D models, which makes it possible to watch elements of artefacts that are usually invisible to the visitors.

The video mapping that we delivered for the “Vases” room makes an immense impression on the museum guests. The projection displayed from three synchronised projectors, casting the image onto one of the exhibition walls, contains a 2D animation we prepared, which presents the process of creating and decorating vases in ancient times. Another part of the animation presents types of vases, while the presentation itself was also synchronised with the lights on the exhibition.

The “Impluvium” room was designed as a form of relaxation zone, where the visitors can sit down and take a look at the entire exhibition once again, this time from a distance. In the central part of the room, a large pool resembling a Roman one was installed. We also created interactive video mapping from two projectors that are cast onto the pool, which creates an incredible effect for the visitors. The entire mapping installation was equipped with as many as two synchronised cameras following the user’s movements, which, combined with our software, allowed us to provide interactivity of the entire installation that has never been seen before.
