A highly interactive exhibition about nature

The modern Forest Educational Chamber, which was opened in Oborniki Forest District in 2023, is an educational exhibition offering an unbelievable level of interaction. Stands using the latest technologies in automation and robotics were created to equip 13 exhibition points.

One of the attractions available at the exhibition is a stand enabling the visitors to learn more about photosynthesis. At the dual stand, using special leaf-shaped objects built for the exhibition, the visitors can catch sunrays cast in this area by reflectors programmed for this purpose.

Another attraction is a game consisting of planting trees, which is controlled using an Azure Kinect DK camera. The application follows the player’s particular moves, such as digging holes, selecting trees or planting seedlings, while the guests can compete to see who will plant more trees in a given period of time.

The use of VR technology, which enables them to take a walk around the forest modelled for this purpose, makes an immense impression on the visitors. While walking, the users must find several items related to the work performed by lumbers.

The unbelievable level of interaction is also guaranteed by the interactive table constructed specially for the exhibition. The table recognises artefacts placed on it, and as a result, information related to them can be displayed on the screen.

The educational chamber also provides amazing stands that guarantee more manual experiences. The stands we programmed allow the guests to play the special forest xylophone, check the pace of their reflexes while fighting against a tussock moth, or measure the humidity of plant litter.
