Interactive game

For the “Water Factory” aquapark in Szczecin, we designed and created an indoor interactive game, which is available to all users of the swimming pool complex. The objective of the game is to gamify the facility and provide its users with added value, allowing them to experience an unforgettable adventure.

The game was developed based on the idea of being dispersed – it is played on 18 touch screens cooperating with one another, on which the player discovers more and more elements of the plot, solves riddles or plays multimedia games created using a 3D engine. In addition, the player is forwarded to interactive loudspeakers and readers, where they receive more instructions and clues.

The plot of the game revolves around treasure hunters, and by cooperating with numerous experts, we managed to incorporate many references to the history of Szczecin into the game. The game was divided into 3 subsequent episodes, which are connected by the so-called ‘chains’ – appropriate combinations of instructions and interpretation panels. Over 3,000 various chains enabled us to guarantee over a sextillion diversified gaming scenarios. This way, none of the players playing the game once again will play it in the same way.

For the game, we designed a wide range of passive elements, i.e. graphics and objects or analogue devices, which were placed in various parts of the facility, while the information that can be found on them contains answers to the instructions that players receive.

In the game, the participants can also use active elements, i.e. transponders used to mark a given user’s presence in a given place, interactive displays, controlling water attractions, UV lamps or the illumination of the swimming pool.

The entire game was integrated with the sales system installed in the building. As a result, game participants are identified and can win attractive prizes, which they can subsequently collect at the checkout counters in the facility.
