The synagogue in Kępno

Customer: Kępno Town and Municipality Office

Implementation date: March 2024

In the historic synagogue in Kępno, we created interactive stations that take visitors on an extraordinary journey through time, allowing them to learn about significant locations and figures from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.

We prepared a set of educational games that encourage active exploration of the past. Younger visitors can play matching games, pairing illustrations of historical professions with exhibits from the Museum of the Kępno Region. Puzzles based on archival photographs provide an engaging introduction to the town’s history, while a memory game helps visitors recognise key locations and historical figures. An additional attraction is a virtual board game based on Kępno’s 19th-century urban layout. Participants can explore the town, earn points for correct quiz answers, and discover its history step by step.

A separate part of the exhibition features a film presented as projection mapping. It transports viewers back in time to historic Kępno, showcasing the appearance of the town and the daily lives of its inhabitants, which were reconstructed based on archival sources.
